About the Opportunity


As part of Sanofi Pasteur Global Business Strategy,?as a Vaccines Operations Head Other Adriatic countries you will be the responsible to reach agreed sales & business operating profit goals by proposing and then executing the strategy, through local action plan. You will also builds Sanofi Pasteur's position and image on the market, develop a solid Vaccine team and builds a good network with all external and internal Vaccines stakeholders.


Geographical scope of the job: Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania

Key responsibilities



  • Business strategy and Planning: Work with his direct line manager to propose & implement the adequate strategic business plan in line with SECE and CEE strategy (incl. competitive environment analysis, local Public Health needs), providing relevant input and securing involvement of Marketing, Sales, Finance, Medical, Regulatory, Supply; Propose local operational plans through effective resource-allocation, maximizing product life-cycles and secure quick execution through appropriate control; Identify business opportunities; ?60% of time ?in the field- visiting key stakeholders?

  • Budget and Market segment operational plans: Prepare Budget, propose necessary investments to deliver sales and profitability goal; On the private market: ensure marketing & sales force excellence, implementation of systems & processes for optimal targeting, brand differentiation, campaign effectiveness and tracking of KPIs, visits on the field. Ensure all support to the local Medical & Regulatory team in order to timely obtain product registrations. On public market: anticipate tender, manage tender by driving price proposals in line with Headquarter policies, drive risk assessment related to tender performance volatility, bring critical analysis and alternative solutions, Minister Of Health, Public health Institute, NIF, distributor, regional public institutes, Hospitals, KOLs, corporate customers and other VIP medical staffs

  • Distribution: Propose & implement a distribution strategy and commercial activities, select adequate distributors with HQ approval by managing commercial negotiations, getting appropriate legal framework, training SP products distributors, securing payments collection

  • Fostering transversal team work and communication: Implement SP governance by defining working teams and responsibility. Optimize cross-functional support in the organization and the affiliate; Manage internal relationships within SECE (Multi-Country Organization); close cooperation with Public Affairs

  • People Management: Build, lead & motivate the team and manage all HR related processes according to corporate requirements, timelines, as well as local specificities; Ensure team work across boundaries & team spirit to reach objectives; Lead transformation & change to adapt to business environment and LRP targets


About You


To excel in this role you will need to have:



  • Ability to drive operations

  • Ability to act as a key Vaccine local executive w/ senior presence in developing SP image & position with 3rd parties

  • Ability to work efficiently in a matrix organization

  • Entrepreneurial mindset (challenge status quo

  • At ease with managing ambiguity and complex relationships

  • Strategic thinking and anticipation

  • Analytical skills, ability to synthesize & communicate effectively to various parties


Essential requirements:



  • Willing to travel across the region in accordance with the business needs

  • Strong leadership to actively prepare and motivate people for change

  • Advanced Business Education with major/specialization in Sales or Marketing

  • At least 8 years commercial / sales and/or marketing/medical ?experience in vaccine business or in pharma business

  • Scientific background (medicine, pharmacy, life science) through education or relevant experience

  • Preferred experience in leading a multi-country organization

  • Work Experience in another European Country


It would be advantageous to have (not essential):



  • Ability to manage stress and work under pressure, to commit and respect the individual and team deadlines

  • Intercultural adaptability and sensitivity
