SummaryThe Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the daily transactions for the Company supply chain operations and working with the corporate department leads to ensure accurate and timely financials.
They play a critical role in the month-end closing process, manage the company fixed assets listing and perform ad hoc projects as needed.
CompetenciesEffective CommunicationAdaptagilityResponsibilitiesManage the daily accounting functions for the Company supply chain operationsAssist with monthly financial closings, bank reconciliations, and issuance of financial statementsAssist with month-end adjustments, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure that internal controls are being followed and perform financial analysis as requiredPrepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returnsManage and maintain the company fixed asset listingAssist the Controller with internal pricing and cost audits associated with the company supply chain operationsAssist the Controller with external audits and completion of the company's corporate income tax filingsPerform additional duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of accounting or finance experienceExcellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detailMust possess a high level of integrityBasic to intermediate understanding of US GAAP and internal controlsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Microsoft ExcelAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently toward goalsTeam player attitude and ability to collaborate with other teams inside the organization is a mustPrior experience with Sage Intacct a plusAdditional InformationThis position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
