Baggage Handling System Technician - Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport

G & S Airport Conveyor, an aviation and aerospace company that specializes in designing and implementing airport baggage handling systems, is currently seeking a Baggage Handling System Technician to work at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
As a member of the team at G & S Airport Conveyor, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient handling of commercial airline baggage.
This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing airport baggage handling systems, identifying and resolving technical issues, and performing regular maintenance and inspection activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the G & S team, as well as with airport staff and other vendors, to ensure timely resolution of system outages and other issues.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair airport baggage handling systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systemsRespond to system outages and other issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on airport operationsPerform preventive maintenance and inspection activities, including routine cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of componentsIdentify and report technical issues to other members of the G & S team, as well as to airport staff and other vendorsMaintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and downtimeParticipate in training and development activities to keep abreast of new technologies and techniques in airport baggage handling systemsAdhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working on or near airport baggage handling systemsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentCertificate or degree in a relevant field (e.
g.
electronics, mechanical engineering) preferredAt least two years of experience working with airport baggage handling systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, conveyor belts, sensors, and control systemsAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematicsFamiliarity with relevant safety guidelines and procedures, including lockout/tagout and other OSHA requirementsBenefitsMedical Benefits are offered after a minimal probation period.
