Maintenance Engineer

Opportunity Overview Johns Manville is currently searching for a talented individual who is seeking a new opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is in Belgrade, Montana and will provide technical guidance to help ensure that production processes and systems are always capable to efficiently produce quality product, delivered on-time to customers. Technical support includes but is not limited to capital projects, engineering, maintenance, production, and shipping/receiving. A successful candidate will enjoy learning the enterprise at a detailed level and have the drive and knowledge necessary to enable production to meet the rapidly increasing demand while adhering to strict quality standards. Being a small facility, this position will be required to work directly with, as well as occasionally assisting production employees in everyday operations. Also, this role will have opportunities for further education in technical functions such as electrical, chemical, mechanical or other engineering disciplines. Additionally, this role may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Applicants can expect to make between $83,800 to $115,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan This position is eligible for a flexible work arrangement in which, by way of example, an employee's work week may include both some days at the employee's assigned company work location and some workdays performed remotely from the employee's home. The schedule of remote work will be based on business and work needs as determined by management. Your Day-to-Day:
Understand facility requirements and production goals & help develop capital projects accordingly; developing, budgeting, scheduling, and managing Assist in developing/maintaining preventive maintenance matrices and schedules & the evaluation of predictive maintenance data. Process optimization using lean manufacturing techniques throughout the facility Understanding of resin manufacturing processes including fluid transfer, mixing vessel requirements, viscosity curves, batch processing requirements, and raw material storage requirements Troubleshoot and correct process problems such as equipment failure, training issues, equipment modifications, and raw material changes Utilize engineering resources to develop and implement process controls Aid with research, approval and implementation of equipment, product and process improvement efforts Utilize customer complaint data to implement process improvements and reduce quality issues Help implement standardized processes for continuous improvement of productivity, yield, uptime and quality Troubleshoot and correct process problems such as equipment failure, training issues, equipment modifications, and raw material changes Assist the maintenance team to ensure equipment and processes can always support production requirements. Must also be able to backup maintenance team as needed Daily oversight of the process identifying potential solutions to process issues that may include metric and/or training issues, and equipment modification. Assist in Environmental, Health, and Safety program implementation and maintenance Respond to emergency situations outside normal schedule What You Bring to the Team:
BS Engineering with a minimum of 3 years continuous operations manufacturing work experience Exposure to manufacturing, maintenance, facilities design, safety, quality, and shipping/receiving. Excellent communication skills with a high level of integrity & professionalism. Able to supervise employees. Proficient at Excel Must be able to read P&ID's as well as PFD's Ability to identify, prioritize and direct production and maintenance operations for day-to-day and long-term production improvement Project management Demonstrated ability to manage contractors Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Additional Consideration Given to Those With:
Experience with lean manufacturing including 5S, continuous improvement, kanbans, JIT, current/future state mapping, and kaizen events SAP experience Experience with AutoCAD and or Solid Works Chemical manufacturing experience Working knowledge and ability to lead FMEA workshops Experience with supply chain and inventory control Working knowledge of SOP/monitor and setting process perimeters Benefits Johns Manville (JM) offers a wide range of benefits to employees. $80K -- $150K

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
